O.P.I Essential Pedicure

A reviving foot spa will cleanse and soften your feet and then natural sugar crystals are used to exfoliate away tough calluses and smooth the skin. Toe nails will be clipped and neatly shaped and cuticles tidied. A lower leg and foot massage using soothing botanical extracts will relax and revive all tension. To finish, buffing or a nail lacquer of your choice will be applied. (1hour)

O.P.I Holistic Manicure

A treatment to improve the appearance of your nails. Includes reshaping of the nails, tidying of the cuticles, and a relaxing hand and arm massage. To finish two applications of an O.P.I nail lacquer will be applied. A relaxing treatment which will totally transform your nails. (45 mins)

Paraffin Wax Manicure / Pedicure

Inclusive of O.P.I manicure or pedicure, but with paraffin wax which is coated onto the hands and nails, or foot and lower leg. Paraffin wax is ideal for very dry skin and beneficial to ease pain caused by tense aching muscles or arthritic joints.

File and Re-varnish

An in-between treatment which will maintain your nails in perfect condition, your nails are filed then a fresh application of nail lacquer is applied.

An application of Rapid Dry UV Light Cured Top Coat is available to ensure a quicker drying time & a long lasting finish at a surcharge of £2.00.
Please wear appropriate footwear when having a pedicure treatment for your own comfort, and so as not to spoil any lacquer application.

Nailtiques Deluxe Therapeutic Nail Care

Nailtiques is a totally different therapeutic system proven to help nails that are inclined to peel, break or split. Using proteins and conditioners to treat and re-hydrate the nails and the use of heated mittens which aid the absorption of all the products used, you will find that after a few weeks of treatment the improvement in your nails, cuticles and hands will be evident. Includes re- shaping of the nails, conditioning cuticle work and a nourishing hand massage. To finish a protein is applied to the nails to help protect and strengthen. This treatment is available as either a manicure or pedicure. Lacquer application at a surcharge.

Medi Spa Treatments

Glycolic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid which is naturally occurring substance derived from sugar cane. It has the ability to act as a superior “moisturiser” for the skin, and also enhances natural exfoliation, leaving the skin fresher and smoother. Glycolic acid is used in reducing the signs of sun damage, pigmentation problems and to restore the skins natural radiance and luminosity.

Medi Spa Manicure

Smoothing, exfoliating and rehydrating hand treatment. A nail file and intense cuticle treatment followed by a relaxing and gentle massage to the hand and forearm, using luxurious glycolic massage cream. Heated mittens then enrobe your hands, your nails are buffed and rejuvenated, and you leave with hands that look and feel luminous and age defying.

Medi Spa Pedicure

Luxurious foot soak, nail shape and buff, cuticle eraser and nail treatment. Followed by a gentle and relaxing foot and lower leg massage using a rich glycolic moisturising lotion which promotes cell renewal and exfoliation. Then sink your feet into heated booties and get those pinkies buffed to leave your feet feeling revitalised and fresh.

Soak Off Gel Overlays

Soak Off Gel Polish will give you the flexibility you desire as this amazing new Soak Off Gel Polish cures in a matter of minutes and can be removed effortlessly. On toes this polish will not chip, peel, flake or smudge and can last up to 8 weeks. Soak off Gel Polish can be applied over both natural and artificial nails by just adding a thin coat. Soak Off Polish strengthens the nail which in turn can promote growth to the natural nail beneath. When it’s time to change your polish it’s just so easy we will soak nails in Soak Off Remover for 10 minutes. The Gel Polish wipes right off without damaging the natural nail.

Marvel Lashes

Marvel Lashes transform the eyes, adding length, volume and glamour to define your eyes. Each individual extension is applied directly to an individual natural eyelash. Great for your wedding day, parties and everyday glamour. They last up to 6 weeks, although eyelash in fills may be required. Eye make-up removal is required prior to your appointment in order to help the bonding of the lashes.

Hair Removal Treatments

Waxing

Using the original cool wax method of removing unwanted hair. Re-growth will appear between 4-6 weeks later, and you may find your hair growth noticeably finer after regular sessions. The ideal length of body hair in order to achieve the best results from any waxing treatments is a minimum of 5mm.

Intimate Waxing

These are speciality waxing treatments in which all of our therapists have been specifically trained. The Retreat uses the premium GIGI wax to prevent hair breakages, ingrown hairs, redness and the associated painful sting. Amazingly, our wax will remove all stubborn hair leaving your skin soft and smooth with no sticky residue.

If you would prefer us to use the hard hot wax method of hair removal, please add 20% to the prices listed, and allow extra treatment time. For this method, we use GiGi, a unique warm waxing range made from pure clove honey which is luxurious and rich, has a pleasant odour and is soft and gentle on the skin.

Electrolysis

For the permanent removal of superfluous or unwanted hair. Pre-packed disposable needles are used with the traditional diathermy method of epilation.

At The Retreat most of our treatments are suitable for both ladies and gentlemen, but there are a few bespoke treatments which are specifically designed with only men in mind.

Hand maintenance treatment

Including reshaping and buffing of the nails, soaking and tidying of the cuticles where necessary and a relaxing hand and forearm massage.

Includes the softening and cleansing of feet using a herbal spa bath and removal of stubborn calluses and hard skin. Toenails are clipped, shaped, buffed and cuticles tidied where necessary. A deep foot and lower leg massage follows.

To produce a neatly shaped and even brow line, removing soft fine hair for a well-groomed appearance.

Chest & Back Wax

Using the original warm wax method of hair removal, the effects of which last for four to six weeks. Many clients notice a decrease in the thickness and darkness of the hair after regular waxing.
